When deciding who’s the best fighting tournament player at SMASH!, we thought what better way to decide than to go back to the game that started the fighting game boom: Super Street Fighter II.

No confusing combinations and overpowered super moves, just pure skill. In 2011 we go old school to a time when it was all about out-maneuvering and out-thinking your opponent.

So prepare your quarter circle punches and drop in for tournament that everyone of all ages can enjoy! All controllers are on us so the only thing you need to do is be there.

Tournament Rules

  1. One character per round, per person. Once chosen, no character changes can be made for that round.
  2. Two players verse each other, winner moves on, loser is eliminated.
  3. SMASH! will provide controllers and no other controllers may be used, under any circumstances.
  4. Any belittling of any person who is playing will result in instant elimination
  5. Attempts to sabotage the event will lead to a permanent ban from all future tournaments.
  6. The Tournament Director’s word is final.
