(For example, J-rock etc)." so yes it is not strictly anime and manga. Yes there will be a cosplay competition on Saturday.

If you are on during a quiet time and there are other volunteers in your section then you can probrably ask you team leader if you can attend the event. You can only go if they let you. If the event you want to attend is during the same time as the busy time for the section you are in, then you will need to stay and help out in your section.
