SMASH! Sydney Manga and Anime Show is organised by SMASH Inc, an incorporated non-profit organisation whose aim is to create an open and affordable event for fans which encourages art, creativity and community involvement. SMASH Inc has a three-tier organisational structure:
The Board is a 7-member team elected at the annual general meeting by the members of the organisation. The Board appoints the Management and guides the overall direction of the organisation.

The Management is responsible for the running of the convention. With the exception of the President, each manager is in charge of a particular department and responsible for that department.

Staff are sort of like super volunteers. Staff members are organised by department and work on a particular aspect of the convention.
