Transport
This year you're really spoilt for transportation. Car, train, lightrail, ferry or monorail (monorail, monorail, monorail, monrail). Whatever form of transportation you prefer, it's safe to say we've got you covered.
By Car
24-hour parking is available underneath the Centre’s five exhibition halls, located off Darling Drive. A map of the Exhibition Centre Car Park and car park rates can be conveniently viewed at the SCEC website.
By Train
From Town Hall train station located in the CBD, it takes approximately 15 minutes to walk to the Centre, and our handy information sheet includes a walking route from the station. Optionally, from Central train station it is also easiest to get to the Centre by light rail (see below). Please refer to the CityRail website for train times. You are advised to check back one week before the convention to confirm train times and any track work that may be scheduled for your line.
By Light Rail
From Central train station in the CBD it is easiest to get to the Centre by light rail, which takes approximately 7 minutes and runs services every 10-15 minutes. Metro Light Rail stations are conveniently located directly outside the venue. To view a network map and fares, visit the Metro Light Rail website.
By Monorail
Sydney’s monorail service runs a loop through the city and Darling Harbour, with a monorail station located conveniently behind the Sydney Centre and services running approximately every 5 minutes. To view a network map and fares, visit the Sydney Monorail website.
By Bus
The 443 bus service runs to locations 5 minutes’ walk from the Centre itself, such as the Maritime Museum and Harris Street (Ultimo). Alternatively, a multitude of Sydney bus services run to, from and around the city. Check the State Transit website for timetables and information on these bus routes.
By Ferry
A public ferry service runs from Circular Quay to Darling Harbour, making a stop at the Sydney Aquarium which is only 5 minutes’ walk from the Centre. To view the Sydney Ferries Darling Harbour timetable and further information such as fares, please visit the Sydney Ferries website. Alternatively, a private ferry service running between Circular Quay and Darling Harbour is available, arriving/departing from the wharf outside the Harbourside Shopping Centre which is adjacent to the Convention Centre.
