Our perennial favorite Doodling Competition returns! Create your own doodling masterpiece on the day of SMASH! for your chance to win great prizes (and enjoy some fun drawing).
Doodling Competition
SMASH! 2011 welcomes back one of our classic competitions, the Doodle Competition. Just sit down on the day, scribble something using the materials provided, and hand it in to one of our helpful staff. It’s easy – and fun. Like the Themed competition, the Doodle competition is divided into two categories; Junior (17 and below) and Senior (18 and above).
Prizes
1st place (senior): Graphics tablet.

Brief Submission Info
Submit your entry to the Art registration desk at SMASH! before 3pm Saturday.
Judging Criteria:
• Execution – technical expertise and use of the materials provided.
• Concept – conceptual value in terms of entertainment, originality, and emotion.
• Aesthetics – how well that concept is expressed through composition, and the overall look of the work.

- Submissions must be made using the paper and materials provided. Only pencils and Artliner/felt pens will be accepted.
- You may enter as many categories as you like, and you may submit more than one entry per category. However, entrants are only eligible to win one art competition prize.
- Artworks submitted must be in keeping with our content restrictions. For a full rundown please see the Terms and Conditions (As a general rule, SMASH! is PG rated)
- Please be aware that if you plan on volunteering for SMASH!, all committee members and volunteers are ineligible to claim or be judged for any Art Competition or other event prizes
