Free Singing

SMASH! Karaoke is getting its own room this year, which means more time for those songs you love best. Whenever you’re tired from hiking around the building, come along and listen in or make your own music. Whether it’s Openings, Endings or your own personal request, we’ll do our best to make it possible for you!

Submissions are taken on the day for free singing, and you can peruse our songlist here.

SMASH! Karaoke Competition

Pre-registration for the Karaoke competition is open now! Registering online guarantees you a spot, but if you don’t register now, fear not. You can still sign up on the day if there are spots free You can sign up in the Karaoke Room, but must choose a song already available in the Karaoke Database. So come on in and try your luck, you might even surprise yourself!

There will be two main categories for the competition, with heats commencing on the day of SMASH:

Solo Competition – Strut your stuff alone in a solo challenge.
Duet Competition – For dynamic duos (and lovers of harmonies).

You may enter both competitions, however entrants are only eligible to win one event so you (or your team) cannot be selected as a finalist for both competitions.

To register as a contestant, please fill in the details in the online signup form. Please provide your instrumental tracks for all the selected songs by sending it to our Karaoke Coordinator, or by uploading it to a file-sharing site and send the link to karaoke@smash.org.au, as you may have a preference for a specific instrumental.

The deadline for registering online is Friday 11:59pm, 8th July 2011.
