BBS PaintChat

Excuse my utter ignorance but does anyone know how to or have already set up a paintchat?
There are so many great artists here I would love to collaborate with you all and how better to do that than Paintchat?
The only problem is that I don't know how to set one up. I've tried but failed abysmally every time.

If anyone already uses Paintchat BBS please invite us (or me) or otherwise help me set one up 8DD???

You need:
- Web hosting with CGI/Perl support, so you have somewhere to store files, and to run the scripts that sit and wait for people to submit their pictures to.
- An oekaki package like Shipainter.

... Except, I also haven't had any luck setting one up, otherwise InsanityManga.net and SMASH! would probably have Oekaki boards by now. There appears to be something missing from the Shipainter package (getpic.cgi and friends), and the only results I find online are either unhelpful or downright antagonistic (I'm looking at you, /prog/ board).

Edit: I found this page that seems to indicate I should've downloaded a couple of other packages. Hope that helps.

I was thinking more Paintchat than Paint BBS, where it's real-time collaboration.
There're a lot of things to fiddle with but I'll try and establish one and post it up here when I do so everyone
can come in and chat,
