Yūko Miyamura
Yūko Miyamura (宮村 優子) is a Japanese seiyū, actress, J-pop singer and audiographer, and is most famous for her role as Asuka Langley Sōryū in Neon Genesis Evangelion. She has played prominent roles in various anime, including My-Hime (Alyssa), Detective Conan (Kazuha), Wedding Peach (Hinagiku), NieA_7 (NieA), Outlaw Star (Aisha Clanclan) and Berserk (Casca)
Miyamura made her voice acting debut as Brave Police J-Decker’s Regina. She has since voiced characters in over 1000 TV episodes, OVAs and animated feature films including Astro Boy (Mimi), Clamp School Detectives (Utako Ōkawa), Hyper Police (Natsuki Sasahara), Spirit Hero Wataru (Suzume), Angel Sanctuary (Kurai), Apocalypse Zero (Megumi) and Vampire Hunter: The Animated Series (Lei-Lei).
Her video game credits include the Kingdom Hearts series (Larxene), Street Fighter, and many more. Miyamura has also released various CD albums as a singer, and had a short on-screen role in the movie Battle Royale as the video announcer of the event’s rules.
