SMASH! Announcements

SMASH! is THIS Weekend

SMASH! is on this Saturday and Sunday! Don't be a dill and forget to go: Put it in your diary, your iPhone's calendar, your underpants!

Why inside your underpants? Trust me. Write SMASH! Saturday & Sunday 10 am to 6 pm on the inside of your underpants and I guarantee you will never forget it.

Cosplay Comp Sign Up on the Day

Did you pre-register for the Cosplay Comp? What? No? Oooh! *shakes fist* Luckily for you, you can sign up on the day! Make sure you get over to the Cosplay Room early to register as the spots will fill up at light speed.

Please remember to bring a photo of the development of your costume if you would like to compete for the Best Cosplay prize. If you don't have a photo you can still be in the running for Best Skit, Best Group and the Judge's Award.

Australian Premiere of Deltora Quest

Deltora Quest is a series of novels written by the popular children's Australian author Emily Rodda, recently turned into an anime series. The series explores the adventures of Lief, Barda and Jasmine as they work to restore the belt of Deltora, a magical heirloom that will free the land of Deltora from the Shadow Lord.

SMASH! is extremely proud to announce that we will be showing the Australian premiere of Deltora Quest, courtesy of the Cartoon Network. Yeah! Go Australia!

City to SMASH!

The organisers of the City 2 Surf have decided in their infinite wisdom to organise their little fun run on the Sunday of SMASH! Keep in mind this may delay transport through the city (if you're coming that way).

Alf Recommends...

Welcome to another edition of Alf Recommends! This week Alf Recommends... Transformers Victory!

Set in the Japanese Transformers G1 continuity, Transformers Victory is created by Toei Animation for the Japanese market.

Following the defeat of the Decepticons during the events of Super God Masterforce, the Decepticons in space continue to attack other planets. Thus the Autobots have joined forces with humans and other lifeforms to form the Space Defense Force, with the newly appointed Cybertron Supreme Commander Star Saber in charge of the Sector One unit and God Ginrai in charge of the Sector Two unit. The Decepticons are led by their new Emperor of Destruction, Deathsaurus.

Appearing for the first time are the Autobot Brainmasters and the Multiforce, as well as the Decepticon Breastforce and Dinoforce. Making a reappearance are Headmasters, Godmasters as well as Transformers from the Japanese and American G1 past.

You too can come together with us. "LET'S SAY GO!"

*** Interested in checking out the series? Transformers Victory is available for purchase at Madman: http://www.madman.com.au/actions/catalogue.do?releaseId=9038&method=view *** (The Madman release comes with Transformers Zone - the end of Japanese Transformers G1. Score!)
