Thanks for attending SMASH! 2009

The convention weekend was a big success. We have a big list of people to thank, for without them we couldn't have had the amount of fun that we had that weekend:

Don't worry, we did not forget: A big thank you to you, the attendee (Yes, YOU), for coming to SMASH! 2009. Aren't you now glad you wrote down those two dates in the inside of your underpants?

Upcoming Convention: Manifest 2009 (Melbourne Anime Festival)

  • Date: August 21 - 23
  • Venue: Melbourne Showgrounds
  • Cost: $25 Friday / $30 Saturday / $30 Sunday / $50 Weekend

Manifest this year will be somewhere between huge and incredibly huge. They're going to be at the Melbourne Showgrounds for the first time and they're returning with all your favourite events. What's more, thanks to the new venue, capacity limits at each of these will be higher than ever before.

Upcoming Convention: Animania Festival, Sydney Weekend 2009

  • Date: September 5 - 6
  • Venue: Australian Technology Park, Eveleigh
  • Cost: $37 Saturday / $37 Sunday / $46 Weekend

With screenings, karaoke, art workshops, video games, panels, crazy stage shows, a yummy Food Fair, interactive mini-games, cosplay games, dance classes, stallholders (plushies, DVDs, figurines, oh my!), and plenty of competitions... the 2009 Animania Festival Weekend is THE PLACE TO BE for all fans of anime and manga.

Fans of cosplay will also be treated to the visual spectacular that is the Cosplay Competition as well as the mega final round of the World Cosplay Summit Australian Preliminary. The winners of this year's Preliminary will head to Japan in 2010 to compete in the World Cosplay Summit in Nagoya, Japan!
