SMASH! is an anime convention with the objective to expand awareness of anime and manga pop culture in Australia.
By accepting the intent of the code and through complying with its provisions, SMASH! volunteers acknowledge their privileged status as a representative of SMASH! and failure to comply with the code may lead to the withdrawal of a person from the SMASH! team.
Adherence to the SMASH! Volunteer Code of Conduct is a requirement for all volunteers in line with contractual obligations.
SMASH! Volunteers shall:
- Refrain from any conduct or wrong doing which may bring SMASH! in to disrepute.
- Will treat others in a manner in which you, yourself would like to be treated (this including other Volunteers and Committee members) in a sensible and respectable manner.
- Will not disclose, abstract or publish any confidential information, including reports, to third parties without the authorization by the SMASH! committee body.
- Abide to Australian laws including anti discrimination legislation and Occupational Health and Safety (OH & S).
- It is advised volunteers attend all training sessions and be on time to all SMASH! activities.
- If a volunteer is unable to carry out their duties or attend please contact the volunteer coordinator/ HR as soon as possible.
- Comply with any instructions or directions given to them by any of the SMASH! committee.
- Act with due care and diligence, behaving honestly, reliably at all times in a way that upholds the values, integrity, and reputation of SMASH!.
- Be willing to wear the required clothing for any event / activity directly related to the SMASH! convention.
