Danmei Spotlight
Get ready Danmei fans, because it’s your time to shine!
This year Danmei 4eva and SMASH! have partnered together to bring you 'Danmei Spotlight', a panel which puts the spotlight on this amazing genre and its dedicated fans.
New to Danmei, or just wondering what all the buzz is about? The Danmei 4eva team, our local Danmei experts, will introduce you to this increasingly popular genre and answer all of your burning questions.
Already a seasoned Danmei enthusiast? Register to participate in our Cosplay Catwalk for your opportunity to take the stage dressed as your favourite Danmei character! Wow the crowd with your fabulous fit, or flex your theatrical skills in a Cosplay Performance by bringing your favourite Danmei scene to life or performing an original skit of your own creation.
Want to participate but don’t have a costume yet? Danmei 4eva have got you covered! Contact Danmei 4eva via their website to purchase a costume before the big day.
Register your interest now to be in the running for $165 worth of prizes for participants, or simply join us as a panel attendee on the day for a chance to win $215 worth of attendee prizes including an adorable Xie Lian Minidoll plush, brought to you by Danmei 4eva, “Your Personal Shopping Assistant”.
We can’t wait to be wowed by the amazing costumes and performances of the passionate Danmei fans in the SMASH! community.

Expressions of interest will close on the 6th of July!
Winners will be announced at the end of the panel on Sunday at the Arts Stage, so please make sure you come see and celebrate all the creative people who have participated in our competitions this year at SMASH! 2024!
NOTE: To enter the draw to win, you will need to attend the panel from start to finish to be eligible. If the winner is not present when prizes are announced, it will be redrawn.

Who Can Apply?
- This event is for everyone of all ages!
- Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the day. The parent or guardian must complete the form on the child's behalf.
- SMASH! Staff and Crew are allowed to enter.
Prizes
Participation prizes (anyone who has registered to participate on stage):
- Danmei 4eva Mystery Bag - value $100
- Danmei 4eva Mystery Bag - value $65
Attendee prizes (anyone who has attended the panel from start to finish, including participants):
- Xie Lian Minidoll Plush - value $165
- Danmei 4eva Mystery Bag - value $50
Prizes are chosen by lucky draw.
Note: this is not a competition. One prize per winner of the draw.
Entry Details
This form is an expression of interest. Participants will be chosen at the discretion of SMASH! and Danmei 4eva. Refer to SMASH!'s guidelines for Code of Conduct, Terms and Conditions.
If you do not have a costume but would like to participate, please contact Danmei 4eva to source the cosplay costumes and accessories before the application deadline on the 6th of July 2024.
Children under 16 require to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
